The 2019 – 2020 will brings us more concerts. Check our Events page for the details.
During at least one concert each year, we offer an opportunity for students to practice with and play “side by side” with professional musicians or master classes.
Friends of Music has donated more than $270,000 to local Public Middle and High School music programs in schools located in the northwest corner of Broward County in Florida. The organization is managed totally by dedicated volunteers.
In order to sponsor the concerts and provide much needed funds to the schools, we host at least two fundraising events. In November, a “Prelude of the Holidays” gala (formerly the Taste of the Holidays”, is held at which we offer food from local restaurants, music from several of the local middle and high schools, as well as a silent auction of baskets, gift certificates and tickets. In May, the Volunteer Luncheon allows local organizations to honor their special volunteers. The work of groups and volunteers enhances the quality of life in our community. This luncheon has become an important and delightful outreach to and liaison with the community.
